Winder, GA. :: War Wizard Racing, based out of Bristol, Tennessee, has sent Monster-Style.com exclusive photos of the completed SPELLCASTER Monster Truck. Tom “TG” Short is the owner, builder, and driver of SPELLCASTER. The truck body is a 1941 Willy’s Truck body, modified from the War Wizard mold, and features a beautiful paint scheme by Mark Brown.
“Dragons to wizards, this truck has it all. I am thrilled about the truck. The truck has a Keith Black Chevy that we built. SpellCaster’s chassis was designed and built to take a lot of abuse. Compared to Grave Digger XX, this new chassis features some of the same characteristics and designs but notable differences include the motor being lower and the rear ends are turned right side up. This machine should be able to handle all the abuse I’ll take it through this Monster Jam season,” commented Tom Short early Tuesday morning.
After over a year of hard work SpellCaster is now finally completed. It will be checked and rechecked before being tested throughout December, and the War Wizard Racing Teams first stop will be Pontiac, Michigan for the final Monster Jam to ever take place inside the Silverdome.
TG’s past racing experience includes sand drag and mud racing, winning a number of races throughout the East Coast in the 90’s, crew member for Randy Moore’s IHRA Pro Modified car, and over two seasons of experience with the War Wizard Monster Truck.
