War Wizard Racing Breaks Becomes World's Fastest Monster Truck

Winder, GA. :: In 1999 Dan Runte in Bigfoot #14 set the first ever speed record for a Monster Truck, with an amazing speed of 69.3 mph. It’s now nearing the end of 2005 and Bigfoot can no longer proclaim themselves as the team who holds the worlds fastest speed record.

Randy Moore and War Wizard Racing headed to Maxton, North Carolina, with plans of setting a new speed record, and they accomplished just that. With Guinness Book of World Records present, Moore, from Bristol, Tennessee, took to the concrete paved runway in Maxton, North Carolina, to bring home a new world record speed of 84.382 mph.

War Wizard Racing began the day at 8:00 a.m. with their first run of over 78mph. Several runs into the day Moore suffered a fuel primer issue as the primer was literally rattled apart. A quick fix by the WWR team had the truck back on track and at around 11:38 am Moore broke the record.

“War Wizard is very capable of low speeds of over 90 mph, and is also capable of speeds over 100 mph. We learned a lot this weekend and I can already say that we’ll be back to break our own record. Our mistakes that we encountered were learning lessons to make the truck better at higher speeds. The tires we used came from Allen Pezo and worked extremely well for our runs. An entire afternoon at the Goodyear tire plant in Tennessee proved to help us as Goodyear employees shaved, buffed, and tweaked our tires, allowing for greater traction, giving us more stability and speed,” quoted Randy Moore when he spoke exclusively with Monster-Style.com early Monday morning.

War Wizard Racing is encouraging any Monster Truck team to defeat their new world record. Moore made it very clear that this will not be their first and will make it a priority to defend their new World Record.

Randy Moore ended his conversation with, “Bob Chandler of Bigfoot 4x4, Inc. stated we could not break the Guinness World Record of 69.3 mph that they set in 1999. “It was impossible” Chandler stated, well, our team broke it, and look forward to their competition to raise the bar when it comes to the speed of a Monster Truck.”
